Tilling services involve turning over soil to prepare it for planting or seeding. Whether you need tilling for a garden, lawn or farmfield, there are local companies that can help with tilling needs. Here are some frequently asked questions about tilling services in your area.
We offer basic tilling to turn over soil as well as more specialized tilling like no-till methods, strip tilling and minimum tillage. Our equipment can tackle all kinds of soil preparation jobs from small garden plots to large commercial fields.
Our primary tiller is capable of tilling to a depth of 12 inches. For fields that need deeper tilling, we have a heavy duty tilling machine that can till down to 18 inches deep to really break up hard compacted soil.
The smallest area we are able to till is 500 square feet. For anything smaller than that, it is usually not cost effective for our commercial equipment to be utilized. We can till areas of any size up to several acres.
In addition to tilling, we also offer manure spreading, yard debris cleanup and hauling, snow removal in the winter and brush cutting/field mowing during the growing season.
We recommend booking tilling 2-3 weeks in advance, especially during our busiest spring season. This helps ensure we have availability when you need it. For rush or emergency jobs, give us as much notice as possible and we'll try to fit you in.
