Tarantula sizes can vary greatly depending on the species. In general, tarantula legspans range from around 2-5 inches for females of smaller species to 6-8 inches or larger for some of the biggest species. The body size will generally be half the legspan or less.
Most tarantulas are not dangerous to humans. Their venom is generally comparable to a bee sting. However, it's best to handle even docile species with care. We can provide advice on properly handling any tarantulas you purchase.
