This class is designed for beginners with no prior mushroom foraging experience. John will start from the basics and ensure all students feel comfortable identifying common edible species.
Please bring a basket or bag for collecting mushrooms, a knife for harvesting, notebook/camera and wear comfortable shoes for walking on forest trails. Water and snacks will also be useful for the 3 hour outing.
Children age 10 and above are welcome when accompanied by an adult. The pace may be slow for young kids bored easily. Kids will learn safe practices and have fun exploring the forest.
