The local rubbish tip is located just outside of town on Old Road. It is open Monday to Saturday from 8am to 5pm for community members to drop off their household waste and recycling.
You can bring general household waste like food scraps, packaging, soft plastics and garden waste. Hazardous waste like chemicals, batteries and lightbulbs should not be brought to the tip.
The first cubic meter of waste is free to drop off. Anything over 1m3 will be charged a small fee per extra 50L brought.
