Students must be at least 16 years old and under 18 to join the junior EMT program. They must also be enrolled in high school.
The curriculum covers all basic life support skills including CPR, first aid, accident scene management, and patient assessment. Students will also learn anatomy, medical terminology, and emergency response procedures.
Students commit to 6 hours per week, which includes both classroom lectures and hands-on training at our emergency response facility. On average, there are 2 classroom sessions and 1 skills session each week.
