Welcome to Hilltop Horse Rescue, a nonprofit horse rescue ranch located just outside of Denver, Colorado. Our mission is to provide a safe haven for horses in need and find them loving forever homes.
If you are interested in adopting one of our rescue horses, please fill out an adoption application on our website. We will review your application and set up a meet and greet with any horses that seem like a good match. All adopted horses go to approved homes.
We rescue all breeds and ages of horses in need of a home. Some of the horses in our care currently include Quarter Horses, Paints, Appaloosas, Arabians, Miniatures and more. Ages range from foals to seniors.
Yes, we welcome volunteers to help with daily chores like feeding, grooming and turning horses out to pasture. Volunteering is a great way to spend time with the horses while helping us care for them. Please check our website for current volunteer opportunities.
Adoption fees vary depending on the individual horse but range from $150-$400. This helps cover our costs for the horse's medical care, training and boarding while in our program. We want every horse to have a screening home visit post-adoption.
Yes, we offer public tours of the ranch every Saturday at 1pm. No need to sign up, just show up! The tour is a great way for potential adopters or volunteers to learn about our mission and meet some of our wonderful rescue horses.
